Notice is hereby given of the DIGBY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 11th December 2024 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

1.Chairman’s Opening Remarks. (24/178)

a)  Welcome.

2.  Apologies for Absence & Co-option Update (24/179)

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given. 

b)  To fill the vacancy on the Parish Council by co-option

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (24/180)

a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 13th November 2024.

c)  To note NKDC have approved the request to enter The Red Lion, Digby into its list of Assets of Community Value on 20th Nov

d) To note the barn on Digby Fen did have planning permission.

6. General Parish Matters (24/183)

a) Update on the request for improvements to the footpath on Lincoln Road and the mirror opposite Harrowby Close.

7.  Highways (24/184)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

8.  The Village Hall (24/185)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

b)  To carry out a check of the Village Hall Garden footpath lighting and replace any failed bulbs.

c)  To note the signage for the village hall garden area is now displayed on the Village Hall building with permission from the committee.

9.  Drainage (24/186)

a)  To consider the quotes received for the maintenance of Greendykes.

b)  Update on the Emergency Plan.

c)  Update on the planned meeting with LCC Flood team

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (24/187)

a)  Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment

b)  Progress of the Bowls Club Lease.

c)  To report on any progress from of the group planning the new equipment.

d)  To discuss the future maintenance of the old pond area on North Street

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

a) To note bank balances, approve bank reconciliation.

b) To note any income received during the last month.

The Annual Parish Meeting is booked for 23rd April and the Annual Parish Council Meeting is booked for 14th May.
