Notice is hereby given of the DIGBY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 11th September 2024 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.
Public Forum
The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council. This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.
District & County Councillors' Matters
After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council
If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

1.Chairman’s Opening Remarks. (24/130)

2. Apologies for Absence & Consider Co-option (24/131)
a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.
b) To consider advertising the vacancy on the council to be filled by co-option
3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (24/132)
a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a) Update on the request for a Saturday bus service
b) Updates on the abandoned vehicle on Church Street.
c) Update on the application to make The Red Lion an Asset of Community Value
d) To discuss possible maintenance of the pond area on North Street and the removal of a fallen tree.
e) To order new replacement spare pads for the defibrillator

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.
8. The Village Hall (24/137)
a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.
b) To discuss employing a gardener and confirm the details for the grass cutting of the lawn.
c) To consider signage to explain that events on the village hall garden must be permission from the parish council.
d) To consider an amount to set aside to purchase shrubs for the garden area.

a) Update on maintenance of Greendykes.
b) Update on the maintenance of the flood alleviation channel
c) Update on the Emergency Plan.
10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (24/139)
a) Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment and discuss any works from the RoSPA inspection
b) To confirm insurance cover has been received from the Digby Dog Fest.
d) Progress of the Bowls Club Lease.
e) To note the designs from the play equipment companies to replace the multi-play towers.
f) To note actions completed from the Village Walk About.

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.
