Notice is hereby given of the DIGBY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 9th October 2024 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

2.  Apologies for Absence & Co-option Update (24/147)

                a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.

                b)  To confirm the vacancy on the council has been advertised.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (24/148)

a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a)  Update on the request for a Saturday bus service.

b)  Update on the application to make The Red Lion an Asset of Community Value.

c) To discuss consider the quote for the removal of a fallen tree and tidy the area at the old pond off North Street

                a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

                b)  LCC Highways – Notification of 40mph speed limit from Digby to Ruskington – Public Notice

8.  The Village Hall (24/153)

                a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any       comments, if required.            

                b)  To note signage has been ordered for the village hall garden area.      

9.  Drainage (24/154)

                a)  Update on maintenance of Greendykes.

b)  To note the maintenance of the flood alleviation channel has been completed.

c)  Update on the Emergency Plan.          

d)  Update on the planned meeting with LCC Flood team                                

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (24/155)

                a)  Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment

                b)  To confirm Digby Dog Fest booking for 31st Aug 2025.

                c)  Progress of the Bowls Club Lease.

                d)  To note the further designs from the play equipment companies to replace the multi-play towers.

                e)  To note the metal bus shelter has now been repainted.

                a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.
