Digby Parish Council
Notice is hereby given of the PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 12th Aug 2026 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.
Public Forum
The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, this time allocation can only be extended by resolution of the council. This forum is not part of the formal meeting.
This session is to receive verbal or written comments and views from the public for consideration at future meetings.
Please note any issues raised requiring a decision of the council cannot be discussed until added to the agenda for the next meeting.
Members of the public are expected to be polite, civil and respectful at all times during the meeting.

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council
If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.
b) To minute the resignation of Cllr Miller and note co-option may be required to be advertised after the 13th Aug.
3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (26/120)
a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a) Planning Applications Received.
25/1421/FUL – Land at Grange Farm, Digby Fen, Billinghay – Construction of 4 no. dwellings and associated garaging/carports
Notification of 26/0575/FUL Navenby 400kV Substation has been received. Springwell Solar Action Group have provided additional information. Comments to be submitted to NKDC by 23rd Aug.
b) Decision Notices Received.
25/0304/FUL: The Pony Paddocks, The Pinfold, Application for new entrance wall, gates and fencing, security lighting and cctv, Horses feed container. Removal of planting outside of new wall (Retrospective). This has been approved by NKDC.
6. General Parish Matters (26/123)
a) To discuss LALC response to Gov.UK emails being opened in Google and to confirm the IT Policy is robust.
b) Invitation to a Local Government Review Briefing at NKDC with the Leader and Chief Executive on 8th Sept, 10.30am
7. Highways (26/124)
a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.
8. The Village Hall (26/125)
a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.
9. Drainage (26/126)
a) To confirm the Greendykes was cut during July
b) To discuss the EA site meeting at the Beck.
c) To discuss response from LCC on Telemetry devices and maintenance of the flood relief channel.
10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (26/127)
a) Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment
b) To commence the planning an opening ceremony for the New Play Equipment.
b) To consider any further updates from the village asset inspection.
c) Update on the progress with the Bowls Club lease.
d) To confirm the Ruskington Lions Jnr teams will be using the field this year, the agreement has been signed and fee has been paid.
