Digby Parish Council 

 

Notice is hereby given of the PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 11th March 2026 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, this time allocation can only be extended by resolution of the council. This forum is not part of the formal meeting.

This session is to receive verbal or written comments and views from the public for consideration at future meetings.

Please note any issues raised requiring a decision of the council cannot be discussed until added to the agenda for the next meeting.

Members of the public are expected to be polite, civil and respectful at all times during the meeting.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.

b) To consider any applicants to fill the vacancy on the council by co-option.

a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a)  To review the insurance policy, documentation was sent to the councillors to consider before the meeting.

b)  To follow up on last months agenda item about the proposed diversion to footpath No.5.

c)  To discuss the format of the Annual Parish Meeting.

7.  Highways (26/039)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

b) To note road closure at the Railway bridge, Fen Road on 12th April at 23.00hrs to 07.00hrs on 13th April for Vegetation removal.

8.  The Village Hall (26/040)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

9.  Drainage (26/041)

a)  To discuss the correspondence received regarding the moving of the North Drain telemetry device.

b)  To consider when to book the first cut of the Beck and Greendykes.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (26/042)

a)  Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment and any update on the funding application.

b)  To discuss the Ruskington Lions using the pitch.

c)  Update on the progress with the Bowls Club lease.

d)  To update on street light No.1 on Beck Street still being unserviceable.

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.
