Digby Parish Council
Notice is hereby given of the PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 11th February 2026 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.
Public Forum
The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council. This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.
District & County Councillors' Matters
After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council
If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.
3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (26/019)
a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 14th January 2026

a) To discuss dog fouling around the village
b) To enquire if a diversion to footpath No.5 has been requested.
c) To increase the litter picker and gardener’s wages in line with the National living wage from 1st April.
e) Update on the volunteer completing a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
f) To confirm an application has been sent to apply for a free Defib.
g) To request volunteers to cover AB defib inspection for 28th Feb & 11th Apr.

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.
8. The Village Hall (26/024)
a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.
b) To consider request to help with the cost of the halls insurance.
9. Drainage (26/025)
a) To report any problems around the village.
10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (26/026)
a) Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment and update on the funding application.
b) To consider the quotations for the work on the trees within the playing field.
c) Update on the progress with the Bowls Club lease.
d) To carry out the annual review of the rents for the for the field access.
e) To note the street light on Beck Street reported fixed by LCC FixMyStreet.
f) To review the grass cutting contract and costs for 2026 season.
11. Allotments (26/027)
a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.
b) To review the annual rents for the Allotments and the Allotment field rent.
12. Finance (26/028)
a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation
b) To note any income received during the last month.
