Notice is hereby given of the PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 9th September 2026 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, this time allocation can only be extended by resolution of the council. This forum is not part of the formal meeting.

This session is to receive verbal or written comments and views from the public for consideration at future meetings.

Please note any issues raised requiring a decision of the council cannot be discussed until added to the agenda for the next meeting.

Members of the public are expected to be polite, civil and respectful at all times during the meeting.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given. 

b) To co-opt a new member onto the parish council from the applications received.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (26/136)

a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

a)  To acknowledge refund from British Heart Foundation for the issues incurred when ordering the Defibrillator.

b) To find a replacement to manage the Community Speed Watch Team.

c) To  purchase ant- virus for Parish Councils laptop.

7.  Highways (26/140)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

b)  To note LCC notification for winter salt bag request and grit bin filling 

c)  Update from recent FixMyStreet requests 

8.  The Village Hall (26/141)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

9.  Drainage (26/142)

a)  To discuss the response from EA regarding The Beck site meeting and decide how to progress.

b)  To consider how to proceed regarding responses from LCC on Telemetry devices and maintenance of the flood relief channel.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (26/143)

a)  Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment and the Annual RoSPA Report.

b) To discuss the plans proposed for the opening ceremony for the New Play Equipment and plan next steps.

c)  To confirm the signing of the Bowls Club lease.

11.  Allotments (26/144)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

b) To advertise the Allotment Field, as Moor & Sons have given notice.

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation

e) Feedback requested on announcement of merging Lincolnshire Community Health Service NHS Trust and United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust to create a new single NHS Trust.

f) LCC Public Notice – The B1191 at RAF Digby speed restriction to change to 50mph.
