Notice is hereby given of the DIGBY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 9th April 2025 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.
Public Forum
The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council. This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.
District & County Councillors' Matters
After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council
If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given.
3. Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (25/056)
a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.
4. Signing of the Minutes (25/057)
a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 12th March 2025.

a) Update on the request for improvements to the footpath on Lincoln Road.
b) Update on VE Day celebrations & consider any grant applications.
c) Update on 33 The Hurn regarding its safety since the fire.
d) Update on the pipes under the brick bus shelter.
e) Confirm invites have been sent out for the Annual Parish Meeting
f) To consider how the old pond area, North Street, can be maintained.
g) To approve Clerk/Councillors attendance at the LALC Summer Conference 16th July
7. Highways (25/060)
a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.
b) To consider any works that could be carried out by LCC volunteer days
8. The Village Hall (25/061)
a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.
9. Drainage (25/062)
a) To discuss any further information received from the flood meeting
10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (25/063)
a) Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment
b) Progress of the Bowls Club Lease.
c) To report on any progress from of the group planning the new equipment.
d) To confirm when NKDC Tree Officer will inspect the playing field trees and to consider request to remove a dead tree.
e) To Discuss the Bowls Clubs request for assistance
f) To approve action to replace a broken post holding a dog bin on the playing field
11. Allotments (25/064)
a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.
b) Update on Allotment Field Rent

a) To note bank balances, approve bank reconciliation and review the accounts for the last year. The Chairman to sign off the accounts.

e) NKDC – correspondence on Local Government Reorganisation
f) Issue of a tree with a TPO overhanging a property has been raised with the council, It was recommended contact with NKDC would be the way forward
g) LALC – Notification of Model Standing Orders Update is imminent.

Parish Council Meetings for 2025 – Second Wednesday of the month – 14th May, 11th Jun, 9th Jul, 13th Aug, 10th Sep, 8th Oct, 12th Nov and 10th Dec
The Annual Parish Meeting is booked for 23rd April and the Annual Parish Council Meeting is booked for 14th May.
