Notice is hereby given of the DIGBY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING to be held on Wednesday 8th January 2025 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

1.Chairman’s Opening Remarks. (25/001)

a)  Welcome.

2.  Apologies for Absence & Co-option Update (25/002)

a) To receive apologies for absence and reasons given. 

b)  To fill the vacancy on the Parish Council by co-option

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (225/003)

a) To receive declarations of interest under the Localism Act 2011 – being any pecuniary interest in agenda items not previously recorded on Members’ Register of Interests and any written requests for dispensation.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (25/004)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 11th December 2024.

a) Planning Applications Received.

c) To confirm JB is booked to speak at the planning meeting for application 23/1429/Ful and  if to request application 24/0654/OUT been dealt with by the planning committee

d) To consider the response about Planning – Growth Targets received from NKDC

6. General Parish Matters (25/006)

a) Update on the request for improvements to the footpath on Lincoln Road.

b)  To approve payment of LALC subs and whether to join the training scheme.

7.  Highways (25/007)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

8.  The Village Hall (25/008)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

b)  To confirm the Village Hall Garden footpath light bulbs have been replaced.

9.  Drainage (25/009)

a)  To confirm the insurance company approved the maintenance of Greendykes.

b)  Update on the Emergency Plan.

c)  Update on the planned meeting with LCC Flood team

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (25/010)

a)  Report of monthly inspection of Play Equipment

b)  Progress of the Bowls Club Lease.

c)  To report on any progress from of the group planning the new equipment.

11.  Allotments (25/011)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

12.  Finance (25/012)

a) To note bank balances, approve bank reconciliation.

b) To note any income received during the last month.

The Annual Parish Meeting is booked for 23rd April and the Annual Parish Council Meeting is booked for 14th May.
