The PARISH COUNCIL meeting will be held on Monday 12th June 2023 commencing at 7pm , in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

2.  Apologies & Vacancy (23/085)

a) Apologies for absence and reasons given.

b) To discuss filling the vacancy on the Parish Council.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (23/086)

a) To receive reports on Members' Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in relation to agenda items and to receive any applications for Dispensation in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (23/087)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Annual Parish Council Meeting held on Wednesday 15th May 2023 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

5.  Planning Matters (23/088)

a) Planning Applications Received

23/0434/HOUS – Digby Delivery Office, 27 Beck Street – Proposed loft conversion and alterations to the existing space to create improved living accommodation

b) Decision Notice Received.

23/0245/HOUS - Tatton Fabrications Ltd, Poplar Farm, Fen Road. The application to erect a single storey front extension was approved by NKDC.

23/0362/PNND – Barn Adjacent to Springwell Barn, Beck Street. The prior approval for conversion from agricultural building to dwelling (C3) and for associated development was refused by NKDC.

c)  Consultation.

Invitation received to meet with Advanced Fuel Partners to discuss the biofuel plant at Walcott Farm.

6. General Parish Matters (23/089)

a) To consider covering additional expenses incurred by the Coronation team after the Coronation. 

b)  Update on contact with Historic England regarding the Cross

c)  Update from the Countryside Officer on the replacing of the sign on public footpath No.8

d)  To discuss and plan any works from the annual asset inspection.

e)  Update on adoption of footpath ‘The Smoot’ from North Street to Green Dykes.

7.  Highways (23/090)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

b)  Update of School Safety zone.

c) To discuss updates on the Community Speed Watch.

d) Update on the request for a new street light on B1188 and the dropped kerb on 

Green Dyke path. 

e)  Report on the L.I.V.E.S. training at the coffee morning and confirm donation.

8.  The Village Hall (23/091)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

9.  Drainage (22/092)

a) To report any drainage issues.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (23/093)

a) Report on the monthly inspection of the play equipment.

b)  To further discuss the road and dug-out improvements within the playing field.

c)  To confirm the missed areas of grass cutting were reported and a rebate has been requested.

d)  Update on the Bowls Club lease.

e)  To report any areas that require strimming.

11.  Allotments (23/094)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

12.  Finance (23/095)

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation

c) NKDC Community Infrastructure Levy – The Parish Council will receive £397.20 from the Community Infrastructure Levy collected from NKDC from local developments.
