Digby Parish Council 

AGENDA

The parish council meeting will be held on Monday 13th March 2023 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed at 7pm for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

 

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5 minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

a) To receive reports on Members' Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in relation to agenda    items and to receive any applications for Dispensation in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (23/036)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 13th February 2023 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

a)  To consider setting up a Community Speed Watch group.

b)  To consider a grant request for Kings Coronation.

c)  To consider organising ‘how to use a Defibrillator’ session

d)  To confirm Quickline has not been endorsed by the Parish Council.

7.  Highways (23/039)

a) To report potholes and Highway issues.

b)  Update on the overgrown footpath of Forget-me-not Way and Church Street.

c)  Update on implementation of 40mph limit for B1188.

8.  The Village Hall (23/040)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

b)  To confirm grant to the Village Hall has been paid.

9.  Drainage (23/041)

a)  To report any drainage issues.

b)  To report on the Riparian Project Public Meeting, held 4th March.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (23/042)

a) Report on the monthly inspection of the play equipment.

b) To consider improvements the field road surface within the playing field entrance off B1188. 

b) Update on the Bowls Club lease.

c)  To confirm the planting of replacement trees within the playing field. 

d)  To consider the ground maintenance contracts for 2023/24.

11.  Allotments (23/043)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation.
