The Parish Council meeting will be held on Monday 11th December 2023 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5-minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (23/182)

a) To receive reports on Members' Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in relation to agenda items and to receive any applications for Dispensation in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (23/183)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 13th November 2023 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

b) To resolve to accept the notes from the Public Meeting on Flood issues held on Monday 27th November 2023 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

a) Planning Applications Received

23/1334/HOUS 31 Chestnut Close, Erection of single storey side and rear extension

b) Decision Notice Received.

6. General Parish Matters (23/185)

a)  Update on the adoption of footpath ‘The Smoot’ from North Street to Green Dykes.   

b)  Update on producing a newsletter/information sheet from the Parish Council

c)  To look into why the footway lighting outside the village hall is not working.

7.  Highways (23/186)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues.

b)  Update for the request for a new street light on B1188

c)  To consider any further update regarding Public Footpath No.5 

d)  To discuss the issues with The Chase fence line.

8.  The Village Hall (23/187)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

b)  To enquire whether the village hall required financial support to install internet (item carried over from last month) and to cover any expenses for being open during the flooding in November.

c)  To consider a grant request to go towards the insurance for the Village Hall.

d)  To review the gardener’s contract to include cutting the village hall grass.

9.  Drainage (22/188)

a) To plan how to progress the issues raised at the public meeting held on 27th Nov.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (23/189)

a)  Report of Monthly inspection of Play Equipment.

b)  Update on the Bowls Club lease

c)  Update on the improvements to the playing field road.

d)  To consider improving the drainage on the Eastern boundary of the field.

11.  Allotments (23/190)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

12.  Finance (23/191)

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation

b) To note any income received during the last month.
