Digby Parish Council 

AGENDA

The parish council meeting will be held on Wednesday 12th April 2023 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed at 7pm for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended by resolution of the council.

 

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5 minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (23/051)

a) To receive reports on Members' Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in relation to agenda    items and to receive any applications for Dispensation in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (23/052)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 13th March 2023 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

a) Planning Application received.

23/0362/PNND – Barn Adj Springwell Barn, Beck Street.  Prior approval for conversion from agricultural building to dwelling (C3) and for associated operational development.

a)  Update on Community Speed Watch group.

b)  Update on the planned celebrations for Kings Coronation.

c)  To confirm training booked for ‘how to use a Defibrillator’ session

d)  To discuss fly tipping on Station Road.

e)  Update on additional street light request from Greendykes footpath

f)  To confirm invites have been sent to village reps for the Annual Parish Meeting

7.  Highways (23/055)

a) To report potholes and Highway issues.

b)  Update on the overgrown footpath of Forget-me-not Way and Church Street.

c)  To report on the school safety zone for Church Street.

8.  The Village Hall (23/056)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

9.  Drainage (23/057)

a)  To report any drainage issues.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (23/058)

a) Report on the monthly inspection of the play equipment.

b) Update on improvements the field road surface within the playing field entrance off B1188. 

c)  To consider the future of the dug-out and whether is should be repaired.

c) Update on the Bowls Club lease.

11.  Allotments (23/059)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

b) To extend the Digby Allotment Association Lease by resolution.

12.  Finance (23/060)

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation and review the accounts for the last year.

b) To note any income received in Mar/Apr
