AGENDA

The meeting of Digby Parish Council will be held on Monday 14th February 2022 commencing at 7pm, in Digby War Memorial Hall for the purpose of considering and resolving business as set out in this agenda. County and District Councillors, the press and members of Digby electorate are cordially invited to join the meeting.

 

Public Forum

The public forum will proceed at 7pm for up to 15 mins, when members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the council.  This time allocation can be extended if required at the discretion of the Chairman.

District & County Councillors' Matters

After the Public Forum each councillor will provide a 5 minute report on the business of their relevant council

 

If none of the above are in attendance the Parish Council will resolve to commence the full council meeting as soon as possible.

2.  Apologies & Vacancy for a Parish Councillor (22/018)

a) Apologies for absence and reasons given.

b) The vacancy has been notified to NKDC.

3.  Declarations of Pecuniary Interest & Applications of Dispensation (22/019)

a) To receive reports on Members' Disclosable Pecuniary Interests in relation to agenda items and to receive any applications for Dispensation in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

4.  Signing of the Minutes (22/020)

a) To resolve to accept the notes of the Parish Council Meeting held on Monday 10th January 2022 as a true and accurate record of that meeting.

a) Planning Applications Received

6.  General Parish Matters (22/022)

a) Update on measures to reduce speeding.

b) To consider producing a village information pack

c) New phone contract required for parish council - Pay as You Go system finishing.

d) To consider a Facebook page for the Parish Council.

e) To consider complaints received about overgown hedges

f) To agree to the LALC Annual subscription charge subscribe (£224.89) and to the LALC Training Scheme (Annual Fee £110 + VAT)

g) To consider events/ideas to celebrate The Queen's Jubilee.

7.  Highways (22/023)

a) To report any pot holes or Highways issues and discuss issues raised on the walk about with Highways.

b) Highways confirm Fen Road will be assessed for future resurfacing/patching works

c) To request the reinstatement of the road (track) from North Street to B1188.

8.  The Village Hall (22/024)

a) To acknowledge receipt of the minutes from the latest meeting of the committee, and any comments, if required.

b) Village Hall garden maintenance. Review of gardeners contracted hours and suggestions for replacement shrubs.

c) To discuss the grass cutting of the village hall lawns.  

9.  Drainage (222/025)

a) To confirm soil being deposited in the new drainage dyke has been reported.

10. Playing Field, Play Areas and Village General (22/026)

a) Report on the monthly inspection of the Play Equipment 

b) To progress the pedestrian barrier at the B1188 end of the playing field

b) To consider a larger dog waste bin for The Hurn/Station Road

c) Update on progress of Spires and Steeples footpath No.5.

d) To purchase new signs for 'keeping dogs on leads'

e) To confirm planting of 6 new trees.

f)  To discuss the ground maintenance contracts for 2022.

11.  Allotments (22/027)

a) To report on any updates from the Allotment Committee.

12.  Finance (22/028)

a) To note bank balances and approve bank reconciliation

b) To note any income received. £600 Allotment field rent
